Firstly, we started the blog with our new Youtube channel trailer / intro. We would be interested to hear your thoughts on the new intro. We are using this as our statistics tell us that around 65% of our viewers are not subscribers.
The first task on the RV was to finish the final parts of bonding down the new membrane, which was limited to the right hand side edge.
Then we fitted the metal trims strips, which we painted in Grampian Grey, a 1960s and 1970s classic car paint colour. We are using stainless steel screws to fit any external trims. In total we estimate that we will use a total of 800 stainless steel screws on the RV project.

Next, the rear wheel arches were fibreglass repaired. Well, only one has been finished at the time of this post. The panels were badly damaged with cracks and holes, probably due to them being over 35 years old and been out in the sun for many of those years. The wheel arch that has been finished was primed and then painted in the same Grampian Grey classic car paint.

The largest job was tackling a large amount of wood rot which we found under the overhead double bed, located above the driving cab. It looked like the woodwork has been repaired in the past. We spliced in a lot of timber, added strength using fibreglass matting and resin, and added plywood.

The final job was to fit two brand new headlamps that we had bought from Rock Auto in America. A pair of headlamps cost us £54.00 plus shipping.
