In our latest YouTube vlog video we show you the progress we have made from the last week, which includes; the design and build of our king sized bed frame, a nice storage compartment in the toilet room, and some CLS / plywood based wall panelling completed.
The two new leisure batteries were tightly secured on all 4 sides by the use of timber which were screwed to the RV flooring, this prevented the batteries from moving laterally in any direction. On top of that, timber was used to secure the batteries down, preventing the batteries from moving vertically should the vehicle happen to be involved in any type of rollover accident. Both on the base and under the upper securing timbers, had installed pieces of rubber membrane matting, which should help to reduce any battery vibrations and subsequent deterioration / damage when the vehicle is on the move.
Building of the King sized bed has begun, with the main framing being formed by using planned round edge CLS timber.
There will be a large storage area, which will have a hinged lid, and will likely have automotive gas struts to assist the raising and support of the lid and heavy bed mattress. A second storage area will be available for use, with access to that only from an outside lockable hinged hatch.
