In our latest video we show you how to carry out THREE modifications to your diesel heater.
Of the THREE modifications to the Chinese diesel heater TWO of those make it almost silent running and certainly one of the quietest vanlife diesel heaters that you will find. Three simple modifications that you can do, including a modification to the exhaust pipe and one forming an effective pump silencer.
As well as in your van, Diesel heaters can also be used at your home to heat workshops, garage and sheds.

Diesel Heater Pump Silencer
The first modification involves wrapping the diesel fuel pump with sound insulating material. This reduces the noise produced from the metal internal components of the fuel pump.
Outer Casing Noise Reduction
This modification involves the use of 5mm thick sound insulation foam in key areas of the upper part of the diesel heater casing.
Exhaust Pipe Heat Insulation
We wrapped the exhaust pipe in heat resistant bandage, most often seen on motorbike engine manifolds, and this was secured using titanium clips and locking wire.
